How to choose photos for an AI rap video

Use a recognizable, unobstructed face

Choose a sharp portrait where the eyes, nose, mouth, and jaw are visible. A neutral or relaxed expression is a useful starting point. Avoid a hand across the mouth, heavy sunglasses, or a face turned completely away from the camera.

The reference guides appearance; it does not lock every detail. Even a strong photo can produce small changes during a generated performance. Plan to review the entire clip.

Choose soft, even lighting

Window light or a bright shaded area can make facial details easier to read. Strong backlight may hide the face, while harsh colored lighting can change the apparent skin tone. You do not need a professional camera; a clear phone portrait is enough to begin.

Keep each reference simple

For solo mode, use one person. For duo mode, upload one portrait in each slot. A group photo makes it less clear which person should be used. Leave a little space around the head and shoulders instead of cropping through the face.

AI Rap accepts JPEG, PNG, and WebP files up to 10 MB each. Images are resized in the browser before a live submission. Preparing photos in the studio preview does not send them to the AI provider.

Compare duo photos before generating

Look at the photos side by side. Can you identify both people equally well? If one portrait is distant and the other is a tight selfie, pick a closer match. Similar image quality gives you a more consistent starting point.

Use your own photos or photos of adults who agreed to participate. Avoid sensitive details in the background. Confirm permission for the final use, especially if you plan to post the result publicly.
